Our Home

Oakley House

Oakley House is a 2 bedroomed home that offers care and support for people that do not have physical disabilities. It follows the Supported Living approach with a higher staffing input for complex needs;

Oakley House is situated 4 miles from the town center and has a bus route outside.

There is a ‘one stop’ shop & pharmacy opposite as well as the usual newsagents, pubs and takeaways.

The house gives close access to the sea front and public footpaths to the sea are nearby. Harwich gives the person an opportunity to encounter a quiet urban community with the opportunity to build relationships in a more modern setting close by.

There are social clubs within the area and sports grounds. More specific services can be accessed close by such as gateway clubs and colleges in the Clacton/ Colchester area.

Care given at Oakley House is specific around the persons need.

We specialise in helping people integrate back into the community from larger homes/hospitals that they may have lived in for periods of their life.

We provide one to one staff support to help the person gain confidence and skills within the community, with constant feedback and assessment of their needs.

Given the close support on offer, Oakley House meets the need of individuals that may not be suited to sharing a larger home and those that may need a more comprehensive care assessment.

Oakley House is a two-bedroom home providing care and support for individuals who do not have physical disabilities. It operates within a supported living approach, with a higher level of staffing input to meet more complex needs and ensure personalised, consistent support for each person.
